This is not the first time I get to say “VernessaTaylor.com is back online, up and running with a brand new web host”. I’ve even written about it before, in short blurbs.
When I first started writing this, I had switched some of the sites over to JaguarPC. I tried their VPS but finally settled on one of their reseller plans. I was looking for a webhosting company that used the cPanel site management control panel and the WHM control panel for resellers. JaguarPC offered both, at an affordable monthly price.
1 Year Later . . .
Since then, I’ve located a few sites over to HostGator. No reseller account there, just a standard Baby Croc. Primarily, I was looking for a home for a specific web-based software application. It is a billing application that handles my connection between PayPal, eBay, and the Kunaki CD duplication systems. For some reason, it wouldn’t run on some of the other hosting accounts, DreamHost in particular. I was a happy camper when I tried it at HG and it worked without a hitch.
And 1 More Year Passes (now in 2010)
And I’ve shifted everything (back) over to DreamHost. Why? They’ve been steadily making changes and improving their backend. So I don’t need the HostGator account any longer (and I can stop paying extra for hosting). BUT … I still recommend it for all the other reasons already stated.
